Questions
Do you connect to my bank?
No. FamSorted never asks for your bank login. You download a statement from your bank’s site and open it in FamSorted. It’s read on your phone, you check what it found, and only the transactions you keep are saved.
Which banks’ statements can FamSorted read?
FamSorted reads PDF statements from RBC Royal Bank, TD Canada Trust, Scotiabank, BMO Bank of Montreal, CIBC, Desjardins, Tangerine, Simplii Financial, EQ Bank, Laurentian Bank, ATB Financial and Coast Capital. Desjardins statements are read in English for now; French ones are coming soon. National Bank is coming soon. For any other bank, use its CSV, OFX or QFX download.
Where is my data stored?
In Canada. FamSorted keeps your household’s data in Supabase’s Canada Central region. Statements and receipts are read on your phone and the files aren’t kept. Only sign-in emails and Sign in with Apple go through other providers.
How much does FamSorted cost?
The organiser and a basic budget are free. Premium is $69.99 a year or $9.99 a month in Canadian dollars, taxes extra, with 14 days free. One subscription covers the whole household.
Can my parents see the calendar without changing it?
Yes. Invite them as viewers: they see everything, amounts included, and can’t change anything.
Is it in French?
Entirely, in Quebec French, and each person picks their language.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes, with layouts made for the bigger screen. Each person arranges their own Home on every device.
What happens if we stop Premium?
Nothing is deleted. Your bills, goals and past Insights stay readable; only new imports ask again.
Android?
iPhone and iPad first. Android is planned.
